Learners from Holderness Open Learning Centre visit Burton Constable Hall
Museums, libraries and archives (mla) offer a huge potential to touch Skills for Life learners, to enhance their experience of learning and to improve motivation, retention and future success.
Working with adult learners, who may not have visited a museum, library or archive for a very long time, and offering them a new experience, is hugely rewarding.
However, it is important that you are able to explain what you are doing, and justify to funders, management or other colleagues why you are choosing to work in this way.
