Learning Resource Library
Many exciting learning resources have already been produced by museum, library and archive (mla) professionals and Skills for Life practitioners to support tutors wishing to use mlas with their learners. A selection of these resources is provided here to promote the sharing of good practice and provide a stimulus for your own ideas. Historical Enquiry Literacy Lesson Plan
This resource offers a very short lesson activity to introduce historical enquiry and oral history to a group of Skills for Life learners. It can also be used as a training tool to enable Skills for Life tutors to experience mla/Skills for Life delivery.
Kirklees Skills for Life Pack
This pack has been created by Kirklees library service. It can be used by library staff or Skills for Life tutors with a group of literacy learners in the library. The activities are generic, so they could be used in any library.
Leeds Library service - generic resource pack
This tutor resource pack has been produced by Leeds library service, and gives ideas for activities adult learners can do in any branch library. It is mapped to the Adult Literacy Curriculum
Leeds Open Doors resource packs
This zip folder contains three Skills for Life resource packs produced as part of the Leeds Open Doors project. There are resource packs for literacy and for ESOL learners visitng Leeds Central Library, and for ESOL learners visiting Leeds Art Gallery.
Move On family learning activities
These activities have been developed by the Move On campaign and the Vital Link and include loads of ideas for sessions for parents and their children.

Quick Reads Learning Resources
Quick Reads are a series of books written by some of the biggest names in fiction and non fiction. All the books are short, fast paced and easy to read, designed to get reluctant readers hooked on books. The Vital Link has produced a series of downloadable resources for each of the Quick Read titles, which can be used by tutors or library staff to lead activities around the Quick Read books. Rock the Walls lesson plans
